Tetra-Therapy — Goal 3: Reawaken Nerve Communication

Peripheral nerves function like a communication line between your feet and your brain. Neuropathy interrupts that line — which is why symptoms are so often described in electrical terms: buzzing, shocks, pins and needles, or the opposite, a signal that's gone quiet altogether. Nerve stimulation in the Neuro-Restore™ Program is built to address that signal directly, not just mask the sensation.
Many patients have already tried a standard TENS unit for pain relief and found it did very little for their neuropathy symptoms specifically. That's not a coincidence. A general-purpose TENS waveform is designed for pain relief broadly — it isn't shaped to match the specific signal pattern healthy peripheral nerves use. The ReBuilder 300 system, which is central to this part of your program, uses a waveform designed to mimic that healthy pattern, which is why patients frequently describe a noticeably different sensation the first time they use it.
Nerve stimulation is introduced at Trial Visit 3, building on the circulation work established the week before with ozone therapy. In-office, treatment combines several technologies:
ReBuilder 300 System. The core nerve re-education device, applying its distinctive waveform to the feet.
Tesla-Max high-frequency stimulation. A complementary technology working through a different electrical pathway to further activate nerve fibers.
Electro-needling, where appropriate. Traditional acupuncture needles paired with mild electrical stimulation at meridian points, used to amplify nerve activation for some patients.
In the full 90-day program, nerve stimulation appears throughout your twelve in-office visits, with particular emphasis at Visit 2. But the part of this therapy we consider most important happens at home. You'll use a ReBuilder home unit on your feet for 30 minutes each morning throughout the program — of the three take-home devices, this is the one we consider most critical to consistent progress, because nerve signal re-education responds to daily repetition, not once-a-week sessions. You keep the device after your program is complete.

Electrical nerve stimulation devices like the ReBuilder are non-invasive and widely used in neuropathy care. As with any electrical stimulation therapy, there are a small number of candidacy considerations — for example, certain cardiac devices — that Dr. Campbell will review with you as part of your evaluation before beginning treatment.
I already own a TENS unit. Isn't this the same thing?
Not quite. A standard TENS unit delivers a generic electrical pulse designed mainly for general pain relief. The ReBuilder uses a specific waveform shaped to match the signal pattern of a healthy peripheral nerve, which is why the sensation — and the intended purpose — is different. Many patients who found a standard TENS unit unhelpful for their neuropathy notice something different the first time they try the ReBuilder.
What does the ReBuilder actually feel like?
Patients often describe a tingling or warming sensation that's noticeably different from typical electrical stimulation. Dr. Campbell will walk you through what to expect and start you at a comfortable intensity level before you take the home unit.
Do I really need to use the home unit every day?
Yes — this is the piece of the program we're most direct about. Nerve signal re-education is a repetition-based process. A once-a-week in-office session builds a foundation, but daily home use is what we consider most critical to consistent progress over the 90 days.
Does nerve stimulation address the whole problem on its own?
